The SEM 15233, Gloss Black, Color Coat Vinyl Paint is a versatile product designed to restore or change the color of a variety of surfaces, including vinyl, carpet, properly prepped and primed metal, velour, and plastic. It is particularly useful for refinishing vehicle interiors and motorcycle seats. The product is easy to use and dries quickly, with a very elastic finish that will not crack.

To ensure the best results, the surface must be thoroughly cleaned before applying the Color Coat. It is recommended to use hot, soapy water and the SEM 39362 SEM Soap to scrub the surface, then rinse it with water. The surface should then be dried and cleaned with either the SEM 38343 Vinyl Prep or the SEM 38353 Plastic Prep, depending on the material. For plastic surfaces, a plastic adhesion promoter such as the SEM 39863 Flexible Bonding Clear or the SEM 38363 Sand Free should be used.

The Color Coat should be applied in light, even coats, with 5-10 minutes between each coat. Several light coats will work better than one heavy coat. For added protection or a change in sheen, one of SEM's clear coats can be applied, such as the SEM 13003 High Gloss, SEM 13013 Satin Gloss, or SEM 13023 Low Luster.

The product will be dry to the touch in approximately 10 minutes, but the substrate should not be subject to heavy abuse or abrasion for a minimum of 24 hours.
