The SEM 15013, Landau Black, Color Coat Vinyl Paint is designed to restore or change the color of vinyl, carpet, properly prepped and primed metal, velour, and plastic. It is used to refinish vehicle interiors and motorcycle seats. All Color Coats are very simple to use and quick to dry. They are very elastomeric and will not crack.

The SEM 15013, Landau Black, Color Coat Vinyl Paint comes in a 12 oz Aerosol Can and covers approximately 10 square feet.

When it comes to surface preparation, it is crucial to ensure that the surface is very clean. Use hot soapy water wherever possible, and scrub the surface with SEM 39362 SEM Soap, then rinse with water. Blow dry or towel dry the surface, and then clean it with SEM 38343 Vinyl Prep or SEM 38353 Plastic Prep. If the surface is not clean, the product will not stick.

For plastic surfaces, it is necessary to use a plastic adhesion promoter, such as SEM 39863 Flexible Bonding Clear or SEM 38363 Sand Free. Apply the adhesion promoter per the manufacturer's instructions.

The Color Coat may then be applied in light, even coats. Several light coats work much better than one heavy coat, with 5-10 minutes between coats.

For added protection or a change of sheen, apply one of Sem's clear coats: SEM 13003 High Gloss, SEM 13013 Satin Gloss, or SEM 13023 Low Luster.

The product will be dry to the touch in approximately 10 minutes. However, the substrate should not be subject to heavy abuse or abrasion for a minimum of 24 hours.
